A donuts alien suddenly appeared on my lunch table. His right eye is a Galaxy donut (marshmallow graze!) and left eye is a Red velvet donut and his mouth is a tiny fuzz chocolate wool donut.

Well…..to tell you the truth, fuzz on me only allows me to buy donuts once every couple months or so….so, meanwhile (waiting for recovering from the donuts high), fuzz on me will play with wool dough and make miniature fuzzy donuts and dream about the next donuts shop visit.

Fuzz On Me likes good craft beer🍺 Also the shape of the hop cones are so cute! I love the fresh green color. Fuzz On Me felt hop nunchuck (ornament) is dedicated to the hoppy refreshing beer time.
It’s fun to make fuzz hops while I’m dreaming about where could be a good craft beer place to go next!
One of the good craft beer places to go is South Gate Brewing Co. in Oakhurst, California. They have a good selection of beer and food. Especially, in Oakhurst (such a small town), there are not many choices for good beer. Fortunately, South Gate makes pretty tasty beer. Last time we’re at South Gate Brewery, we had South Gate IPA and Black Currant Sour. The black currant sour was the first sour beer for them. It was a pretty good sour for their first time trying! Very refreshing and I really liked the way that they left black currant puree in the beer (not filtered to make it clear).
Bahn Mi was good!
Bahn Mi with confit pork belly, pickled daikon radish and mountain of cilantro was fresh and delicious! Yum, yum.
A good beer time!
For beer, if we’d like to get something easy and quick in Oakhurst, we go to Raley’s too. They have local beer in bottles. Selection is not always great, but local beer is always fun to check out when you are away from home.
Everybody is enjoying Spring? Fuzz Neko couldn’t wait to get some fresh air up in the mountains! So, he ended up going to Yosemite for his Spring break.

Going out is especially nice when you bring your homemade sandwich and freshly brewed coffee with you. It’s fun to eat and drink them in the warm sun!
Fuzz Neko hiked along the bike road to the mirror lake, with a good view of Half Dome!
It was such a nice day for walking around in the Yosemite Valley. Plenty of water flowing everywhere and yet, much less crowded than during Summer Vacation time. Also, the top of the mountains still have white snow and there is snow on the ground at some places in the park too. Cool!

In the morning it was chilly and a bit cold, but in the afternoon the Sun made us warm and we even got a bit sweaty while we were walking. Oh, but there was one other thing, Fuzz Neko didn’t expect that he would be attacked by hay fever! Fuzz Neko had no idea what really caused it, but on the way home he kept sneezing a lot….so, be careful people! Always bring your allergy pills with you just in case.

I love donuts!! 🍩 I just love the cute ring shape, colors and fluffiness. I wish I could eat donuts everyday! …..but the reality is, I barely actually buy or eat them. Especially when my dentist says my teeth are weaker than other people and most of all sugar is not good for any health conditions. That’s Sad.
So, the solution for my donuts hunger is by making mini donuts with my fuzzy fluffy wool. The doughnut shape looks simple…..but actually, it’s kind of hard when I try to make them with needle felting (especially making a doughnut hole). It takes a bit of effort and time, but it’s fun to make them. It doesn’t have the sweet aroma and I can’t eat them….but at least, they make me smile.
Amazingly, making and holding these mini felt donuts satisfy my donuts hunger. After all, I might like the shape and fun colors of donuts much more than actually eating them?!
The donuts I used for these photos are from Surfside donuts in Pismo Beach, CA. Their donuts tasted very fresh and fluffy! One doughnut costs a bit more than regular donuts shops’ doughnuts ($2.5 or more), but they are bigger donuts and they have a real handmade feeling. They are totally worth it for the price.
I was hoping to get crazier looking donuts, but they didn’t seem to have the crazy ones when I was there. I must go back there…earlier in the morning, maybe?

My fuzzy faux fur wrist pincushion is still available in my store. I recommend the faux fur pincushion for more casual occasional sewers (like me!). But, it seems like for more serious sewers who want to wear the wrist band often in the hot and sweaty summer time, it could be better if you can have the choice to wash the strap.
Please keep this mind, the needle felted wool butt is never washable in any situations. If you accidentally wash it, it will shrink and the felt gets harder (dense) and probably will lose its cute shape…..
When you wash the strap,
1. detach the butt from the strap (Velcro)
2. wash the strap by hand with cool water and mild detergent
3. hang dry (no drier!), iron with cotton setting
4. when it’s completely dry, attach the butt back on the strap
Even though the strap is washable, I would recommend to wash it only when you really need to. With more frequent washing, it wears faster.
